WONDERFUL WORLD OF HORSES EDUCATION SERIES
Come Learn about Horses at
the Equestrian Center of Walnut Creek
On Saturdays*, June 20 to Aug. 1st, 2020, 10-11am
*except on the 4th of July!
Did you know that horses have the MOST expressive faces of the entire animal kingdom?! They even have more facial expressions than dogs and chimpanzees. Horses are also one of the few animals that can tell by your face if you are happy or sad. This is part of the reason why they make such great therapy companions. There is so much to learn about them: the many breeds and all the types of riding. Would you like to try Western/Cowboy riding? Or do you want to learn how to ride a horse over jumps like a Hunt Seat rider? What and how much do horses eat? How much does it cost to own or lease a horse or take lessons? Where could I or my children learn to ride in the Walnut Creek area?
You will meet a few of our members, their horses and watch some demo riding but please note you and your children will not be riding. We do not have stables at the ECWC riding arenas, all members bring their horses to ride there. We WILL have all kinds of suggestions about where you can go locally to take lessons. You may even be able to lease or take lessons on a horse that your trainer brings to the Equestrian Center!
We will update our Facebook page each week with the topic so check in there every week and if you want more information or you would like to RSVP please fill out the form to the right.
